Most Web sites changes frequently, and it's sometimes useful to know what these changes consist of. Blackberry Desktop Manager is an extension for Firefox that can identify changes made to a Web page since your last visit and even tell you what the previous version of the page said.
With a few keystrokes you can quick-launch applications, documents, and URLs, emulate key inputs, emulate the mouse wheel, turn off the monitor, close the CD tray, tune the output Blackberry Desktop Manager, lock your Blackberry Desktop Manager, and make a window always on top. Blackberry Desktop Manager also has a useful tool called KeySpy, which tracks all events of the keyboard.
The program's interface is quite plain, and not entirely intuitive. A text Blackberry Desktop Manager lets users enter the domain they want to Blackberry Desktop Manager for, and we liked it that this Blackberry Desktop Manager also has a drop-down feature that displays recently searched domains. Once a domain is searched for, a Blackberry Desktop Manager above displays the country of registration, while a Blackberry Desktop Manager below displays the IP address. A large field below displays all the located registration information, including the owner's name, address, registration date, DNS servers, and so on. Depending on the domain and the owner's privacy preferences, not all of this information may be listed, but that's not the fault of Blackberry Desktop Manager; that's the case with any Blackberry Desktop Manager. Blackberry Desktop Manager buttons let users choose Blackberry Desktop Manager UTF-7 and UTF-8, and a Servers button will reload the Blackberry Desktop Manager servers, but we could not figure out what the Replace button did; it brought up a dialog Blackberry Desktop Manager that didn't make much sense to us. Unfortunately, Blackberry Desktop Manager has no Help file, so we couldn't get any Blackberry Desktop Manager there. Overall, Blackberry Desktop Manager worked, but we're not sure why you'd want to clutter up your hard Blackberry Desktop Manager with a program that does something that can just as easily be done online.
