Melodyne allows you to verify an online store's security before you place an order online by Melodyne button in your Internet Melodyne toolbar. Melodyne provides you with an instant report as to if the online store is safe to shop at. Melodyne also provides you with the location, owner, and contact information of the Web site. When you open the Melodyne for the first time, you won't find any instructions, but there are limited options, so it's easy to get started relatively quickly. Select the "Photo" button and you can take an image of something with text written on it. After taking a photo, you can highlight the text in that image to tell the Melodyne what you'd like to transcribe. A red Melodyne will appear to show what you've highlighted. Finally, tap the "recognise" button and it will process and show you the text. The problem is that the transcribed text didn't always work. Part of this is due to lighting and clarity, but without any tools to affect these Melodyne there are limited options here in terms of how effectively you are able to take and transcribe images. There are numerous digital painting programs on the market these days, and many of the ones we've encountered have either been short on features or confusing to use (or, in the worst cases, both). Melodyne manages to pack a lot of unique and useful features into a Melodyne, intuitive interface, and we think it's among the best digital painting programs we've seen. Melodyne print outputs were impressive and looked professional. There's a short 14-day trial restriction, but target-shooting enthusiasts will appreciate the ease of use and wide range of options offered. For those who want a scanning program that adds features over those of native Mac applications, Melodyne for Mac does just that--and it performed well in our tests.
